Free Government Training Event

The community is invited to a free Sunshine Laws training event being held in the old Grand Rapids Fire Station.

The training is scheduled for Saturday, September 16 from 10am until 1:30pm. According to the announcement the training is essential for those involved with the government or for those who want to participate as a citizen.

“Ohio's Public Records Act and Open Meetings Act, also known as ‘Sunshine Laws,’ create an open government and help residents observe and take part in government meetings and activities and access records.” -Ohio.gov
