The 2023 general election will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, and this year the Grand Rapids mayor's seat and two council seats will be on ballots.
Incumbent Mayor John Berry, who took office in 2014, will be looking to return to the mayor's seat as resident David Fowler will officially be looking to make his mark as Grand Rapids Mayor. According to records, the last election for mayor went uncontested.
Two council seats will also be on the ballot as Councilperson Rachel Smith and Councilperson Rick Tolles are running for re-election. Residents Peggy Seab and Angela Studer will contest the two seats. Smith was elected in 2016 while Tolles has been serving since 2020.

Grand Rapids residents will now vote at Otsego Elementary on election day.
