Towpath Media has learned that Northwest Ohio broadcasting legend Gary Shores passed away on Sunday.

Northwest Ohio spent the better part of three decades waking up to the laughter of Shores and Steele each morning on K-100 radio, a station that Gary led to the top of the Toledo area ratings for over four decades. The duo was so successful they were honored by the Country Music Association in 1995 for having one of the best country radio shows in the United States.
