I-475 Shutdown Tuesday Due to Fire

Update: As of 8:37 a.m. the roadway is restricted but open.

I-475 running through Maumee was shutdown Tuesday morning around 6 a.m. due to a semi fire.

According to the Maumee Police Department a tractor trailer was fully engulfed in flames just north of the Maumee River. Maumee Police say no one was injured in the truck fire.

13 ABC also reported a second car being on fire.

Towpath Media listeners report traffic is backed up both directions and nearly stopped southbound near Maumee.
